CTSS Japan, Ltd. Provides Disaster Relief and Assistance in the Philippines

CTSS personel are on the ground on Cebu and Leyte Islands to assist with disaster relief and assess the situation after the Typhoon that struck the area.
Many communities have yet to see any organized or international relief effort - even more than a week after the storm - and several areas, particularly on Northern Cebu Island have been virtually ignored by international media.
CTSS staff have been assisting with medical and communications equipment as well as assessing the need for housing and construction solutions to the damaged communities.
We are please to announce that housing solutions are on order and will be made available to the most needy in the afflicted communities.
We also extend a special thank you to the wonderful and courageous local and Japanese volunteers in the area and the tremendous work done by the Israeli Defense Forces, working in Bogo on Cebu Island.

Japanese risk management, logistics and transportation services company responds quickly to disaster and gains support of charities, NGOs and government organizations to provide housing units to displaced citizens.

Tokyo—21 March 2011—Immediately following the earthquake and tsunami of March 11, CTSS Japan K.K. devised a plan to aid displaced citizens by providing modular temporary high-quality housing units. The company has been able to successfully solidify an immediate procurement plan through its contacts with the highest levels of government, including the Prime Minister’s office, as well as public and private charity organizations, trusts and NGOs, such as AAR, one of the largest humanitarian non-governmental organizations in Japan.

CTSS is on track to exceed the delivery and installation of 500 modular housing units per week on an ongoing basis in order to satisfy the needs of citizens in Iwate, Miyagi, Fukushima and Ibaraki. Mina Konishi, COO of the company, and Country Director, Izuru Sugawara, have been able to secure funding and governmental support based on CTSS decade-long reputation of high-quality goods and services.

The housing units are sealed from precipitation, dust and other contaminates and can withstand 70-mile per hour winds. These temporary living quarters can house up to three adults and can be assembled in only 30 minutes.

CTSS ability to supply these housing units is an extension of its core competencies of logistics, transportation services and procurement of various products for both public and private entities.
